Unveiling of the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica
We were incredibly fortunate to be invited to the unveiling of the latest member of the Lamborghini family earlier this month, the Huracán Tecnica. CEO Stephen Winkelmann describes it as "the fun to drive Huracán" (as opposed to the complete hooligan that is the STO, for which we have a confirmed September delivery date!).
Inspired by the aesthetic of the race-going Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, the Tecnica sits between the Evo and the STO in terms of its performance, while it takes elements from both models. Every effort has been made to make this the most versatile model of the Huracán range, with a ton of new technology under it's dramatically styled body.
Here for the stats? It's powered by the STO's screaming 5.2L V10 engine, producing 631bhp at 8,000rpm, and accelerating to 60mph in 3.2 seconds. Maximum torque of 565 NM at 6,500 rpm.
As Lamborghini openly asserted during this unveiling, they are looking towards a near-term hybrid and long-term fully electric lineup. It is instantly clear that the Huracán Tecnica remains true to its petrol heritage, with no annoying restrictions such as the Aventador Ultimae sees with its limited revving in neutral. With this potentially being the very last example of the unrestricted Lamborghini V10 petrol motor, you can expect to see this form part of the Vice fleet once it's released next Spring.
